Seasonal musings, notes from the journey, and a peek into the world of Cohen & Kleo.
Welcome back to The Kererū Almanac, our little newsletter to share all things Cohen and Kleo.
It’s been a busy couple of months for us, with lots of progress made and some exciting developments on the way.
Like our last update, we’re still building, but by golly have we made progress. There has been a lot of learning and skill development both for the book and personal life.
We’re also a little more on time this issue, or at least closer to the end of June than we were to the end of March.
Today we’re talking audiobook, getting on shelves, and maybe hints of travel on the horizon.

Notes from Cohen
It’s been exciting to see progress happening, but at the same time it’s daunting. There are so many things I want to accomplish, and it always seems like so little time to do it.
Finding the balance between getting the big long list done, simply enjoying life, and resting is a challenge. I haven’t figured out the formula yet (no matter how many spreadsheets I build), but hopefully I’ll keep learning and slowly find my way.
In the last few weeks I’ve also become more aware of a feeling of being ‘stuck,’ so I am trying to remind myself of what I enjoyed in our travels. It’s obvious with a bit of hindsight and reflection, but the adventure has been missing.
Working towards the goals is all well and good, but the goals are built on adventure, so what will they become if there is no adventure to build on? I’m looking for adventure now, great and small, close and far, because that is where the stories lie. (Did I say adventure enough times?)
Kleo’s Corner
With the weather settling in wet and cold, I’ve been doing my best to keep warm.
Cozy pockets, spots of sun, warm blankets, and the occasional heater, although I think I’d prefer a fireplace.
Now, I haven’t been leaving all the work to Cohen. It’s been up to me to work out plans for our social media.
Our book at the library
I’ve got some exciting ideas, but someone (*tweet* Cohen *tweet*) is talking about a schedule. I’m thinking I need to look into this thing called a calendar and get our social media rolling.
Super excited to announce that my book has made it to the Wellington City Library. How amazing! All those little readers who now have a chance to see my story. (Cohen is reminding me that it’s “our” story).
Anyway, I’d love for more libraries to have a copy, so see if yours takes requests and send this story their way.
The Book Nook
Now available in-Store with our friends at Eva’s Garage. Next up, Wellington Zoo?
After taking too much time, we’ve got the next books in the works.
We’ve also made it onto shelves at the Wellington City Library. If you’re local, go check it out and show some love.
Kleo meets Cohen has been brought to life in audio. Listen below.

From the Blog
We’ve been doing a lot of work on the backend of the website to bring back the Gallery section. I’m again realising how big a project that was, but it’s coming along.
If you missed it, Cohen wrote a lovely litte piece for the blog about building connection in your neighbourhood. You can read it here.
We’ve got a few posts cooking from each of us; we want to make our voice a bit more lively there, so follow us on our socials if you want to keep up to date on new posts.
On the Horizon
We think it’s about time for a little holiday. Still not sure where or when, but it is in the works.
A belated book launch. It’s been almost a year, it’s high time we have a party for this. If you’re in Wellington, we’d love to see you when we have it.
Living up some more adventures.
Until Next Time
And feel free to share this with others you think might like to join our journey.
